1. Who we are
Geaux File LLC ("Geaux File," "we," "us," or "our") is a Louisiana-based regional registered-agent service for businesses in Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama. This Privacy Policy describes what information this V1 marketing site collects, and how Geaux File LLC handles customer information as part of its registered-agent service.
2. What this website collects
This V1 website is a static marketing site. It does not run analytics tooling, does not set tracking or advertising cookies, and does not embed third-party advertising scripts.
The contact links on this site (for example, "Contact us" and the
email address shown on the contact page) open your own email client
using a mailto: link. Geaux File LLC only receives the
information you choose to put in that email. We do not capture form
submissions through a backend on this site.
Standard server logs (such as IP address, request time, and user-agent string) may be retained briefly by the underlying hosting provider for operational and security purposes.
3. Information Geaux File LLC collects as your registered agent
When you engage Geaux File LLC as your registered agent, we maintain the information required to perform that role, including:
- Your name and a working contact email and phone number
- Your entity name, formation state, and entity identifier
- Mailing or service addresses you ask us to use
- Records of legal documents we receive on your behalf and the dates we forwarded them to you
Payment for the annual registered-agent fee is handled separately (for example, by invoice or by a third-party payment processor under a separate engagement). This website does not collect payment-card information.
4. How we use customer information
We use the information described in §3 to:
- Act as your registered agent of record with the applicable Secretary of State
- Receive and forward service of process and official mail
- Remind you of upcoming annual-report or registered-agent renewal deadlines
- Respond to inquiries and provide customer support
- Comply with legal and regulatory obligations
5. Sharing
Geaux File LLC does not sell customer information. We share customer information only with:
- State filing offices and other government authorities, as required for the registered-agent function
- Service providers that support our operations (for example, mail handling, document storage, or the third-party processor that bills the annual fee), bound by confidentiality obligations
- Counsel or auditors, when reasonably required
- Other parties when required by law, court order, or government investigation
6. Retention
We retain registered-agent records for as long as we serve as your agent and afterward for the period required by applicable state recordkeeping rules.
7. Your choices
You can ask us at any time to confirm what information we hold about your engagement, correct it, or close out the engagement. Contact us at agent@geauxfile.com. Resigning Geaux File LLC as your registered agent requires designating a replacement agent with the applicable state.
8. Children
Our services are directed to businesses and their authorized representatives, not to children. We do not knowingly collect information from individuals under 18.
9. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date above. The current version published on this page is the operative version.
10. Not legal advice
Geaux File LLC is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice. This policy explains how we handle information; it is not a substitute for advice from your own attorney.
